Built for whatever's
past the bitumen.
4WD servicing, GVM upgrades, and custom touring builds out of a Melbourne workshop. Family-owned, 30 years on the tools.
What we do
Four things, done properly.
Brands we fit
The gear we fit is the gear we'd run on our own trucks.

The workshop
Same workshop, same crew, 30 years.
Central 4WD Centre is family-owned. The people quoting the work are the people doing the work, and most of us have been here longer than the bays.
We are a VACC approved repairer, so your logbook stays valid. We work on every major 4WD make. And we will tell you straight what is worth doing on your truck and what is not.

Common questions
Before you book.
Yes - we service every major 4WD make. Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Land Rover, Subaru, Mazda and Holden are all daily work for us. We are a VACC approved repairer, so factory warranties stay intact.
Depends on the build. A bullbar and dual battery fit-out can be done in a few days. A full touring build with GVM upgrade, fuel tank, canopy and drawer system usually runs three to six weeks once parts are in. We will give you an honest timeline at quote.
Generally yes, but talk to us first. Some parts we will not warranty if they did not come through us - cheap eBay shocks, no-name electricals - because we have seen them fail. Bring quality gear and we are happy to fit it.
Yes. We do GVM upgrades with the engineering paperwork sorted so your truck stays legal on the road. We will walk you through what the upgrade does to your tow rating and registration.
We stand by what comes out of the workshop. If something we fitted or fixed is not right, bring it back and we will sort it. The specifics depend on the job - we will spell it out on your invoice.
76 Herald St, Cheltenham VIC 3192. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Best to book ahead - the workshop fills up.
